Industrial Equipment

Our engineering R&D team continuously invests and strives to innovate and improve the very wide range of filtration systems and equipment. In this way BION is able to satisfy all air filtration and gas purification needs in the market.

SAH Side Access

The Side Access Housing unit (SAH) is a self-contained, air cleaning system designed for the removal of particulates, as well as corrosive gases, odorous gases, or indoor air pollutants. The SAH design works with both BION PP12 or BION PM18 modules, making it ideal for scrubbing larger rooms (high airflows) with low to medium contaminant levels. These units are constructed of Aluminum modular framing, insulated double-wall panels and doors and are highly customizable to satisfy any installation requirement.

  • Main Applications: Odor Control, Corrosion Control, Nuisance Odor & Indoor Air Quality
  • Commonly Targeted Pollutants: Acetic Acid, Chlorine Compounds, Hydrogen Sulfide, Mercaptans, Nitrogen Oxides, and Sulfur Oxide
  • Compatible with either BION PPM2 or BION PM18 modules containing BION media
    • Up to 4 media passes per unit
    • Compatible with all BION media types
    • Pre and final filters included for particulate removal
    • Passive and Active Configurations Available
    • Designs for Indoor or Outdoor Use Available
    • Standard Airflow Ranges:
      • 500 CFM - 50,000 CFM
      • 850 m3/h – 85.000 m3/h
    • Equipment Sizing (Nominal Dimensions):
      • 1 - 10 Feet [305 – 3.050 mm] Tall
      • 2 - 10 Feet [610 - 3.050 mm] Wide
      • Length Dependent on the Unit’s Configuration

For loading granulate into SAH filtration systems, BION has two types of modules. One or the other is used depending on the customer's needs in terms of efficiency, autonomy and pressure drop.

PPU/RU Equipment

Positive Pressurization and Recirculation units are designed to protect controlled environments containing sensitive electronics, and electrical or medical equipment from harmful corrosive gases. Both units are designed to be installed inside the controlled space as stand-alone cabinets and offer two unique options. The Positive Pressurization unit provides both clean, positive pressure into the controlled environment as well as recirculates and scrubs the air already existing within the controlled space. The Recirculation Unit neutralizes the air within the controlled space by means of recirculation only and is perfect for spaces with high corrosion, high foot traffic or internally produced contaminants.

  • Main Applications: Corrosion Control
  • Commonly Targeted Pollutants: Hydrogen Sulfide, Ammonia, Chlorine Compounds, Nitrogen Oxides, and Sulfur Dioxide.
  • Compatible with BION PM12 modules containing BION media
    • Two (2) media passes per unit
    • Compatible with all BION media types
  • Pre and final filters included for particulate removal
  • Designed for Indoor use
  • Standard Airflow Ranges:
    • 500 CFM - 4,000 CFM
    • 850 m3/h – 6.800 m3/h
  • Equipment Sizing (Nominal Dimensions):
    • 8 ft [2.440 mm] Tall
    • 1 - 4 Feet [305 - 1.220 mm] Wide
    • 2 - 4 Feet Deep [610 - 1.220 mm] Deep

DBS System

The BION Deep Bed Scrubber units are specifically designed for installations in harsh environments and can handle anywhere from low to high contaminant levels at low to mid airflow ranges. Both the single blower and redundant blower options provide a robust, outdoor suitable design, with the redundant blower units including added features for an additional level of purification and protection in extreme conditions.

The DBS design includes multiple vertical packed media beds to eliminate contaminant bypass and increase removal efficiency. Each media stage allows for a different media type, providing a unique media prescription for maximum protection against a variety of gas challenges.

  • Main Applications: Corrosion Control, Pulp and Paper Mills, Petrochemical Plants, Refineries, Steel Mills, Laboratories, Hospitals/IVF Centers, Museums, Computer Rooms, Control and Motor Control Rooms, Electrical and Medical Equipment Rooms
  • Commonly Targeted Pollutants: Hydrogen Sulfide, Mercaptans, Sulfur Dioxide, Nitrogen Oxides, Chlorine, Chlorine Dioxide, Ammonia, Formaldehyde, Acetic Acid and Organic Acids, BTX, Hydrocarbons, VCS’s, and VOC’s
  • Media provided in a “bulk” filled installation.
    • Can provide up to 4 media passes per unit
